Cetrion | Mortal Kombat

Square

With a cavalcade of unusual flavour combinations, this evolving cocktail offers all the elements of Cetrion from Mortal Kombat.

You’ll need

  • 2 oz (60ml) Tanqueray gin
  • .25 oz (10ml) Amaretto
  • .75 oz (20ml) Midori
  • .50 oz (15ml) lime juice
  • .25 oz (10ml) cinnamon-cranberry simple syrup

Add all ingredients except the cinnamon-cranberry syrup to a shaker filled with ice. Shake thoroughly to chill. Strain into your vessel. Over the back of a bar spoon, carefully pour in the cinnamon-cranberry simple syrup to layer to the bottom. Add an appropriately shaped garnish. Serve!

How to make cinnamon-cranberry simple syrup

Combine half a cup of unsweetened cranberry juice and half a cup of brown sugar in a saucepan, heating gently until the brown sugar fully dissolves. Add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then filter and allow to cool. Use in this cocktail, then store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

“Kronika must restore the balance that Raiden destroyed. Can you not see, he is the devil in these matters?”

– Cetrion, on balance.

Cetrion adds an extremely eclectic moveset to the usual Mortal Kombat crowd, her abilities made up of thrown boulders, summoned flames, battering winds and drowning waters. Despite being the goddess of nature, life, light and all that air-y fairy stuff, this lady can still lay down the pain in a multitude of ways when she wants to.

This cocktail is made up of equally mixed elements: lightly spiced cranberry, sweet and fruity Midori, nutty amaretto and sour lime come together in a cavalcade of flavours which, combined with the layering, creates a beverage that evolves as you sip it.

Find it a little too sweet? Up the lime juice and drop down the Midori.

Hope you guys enjoy!
